3(i). John Shirley christened 12 June 1764 to Thomas and Mary Shirley at Priors Marston. He was buried 28 April 1842 at St Leonard's Priors Marston "age 77"

"...my Great, great, great grandfather. He was John Shirley (1763-1842) who lived at Priors Marston.... He was a grazier. He married Elizabeth Bustin (1784 - 1863. They had a daughter Emma (1820-1889) who married Richard Mason also of Priors Marston..." - Margaret

He is assumed to be the John Shirley who was enumerated at Priors Marston in the 1841 census, age 75 (born 1766). The following is his family:

married Elizabeth Bustin on 11 June 1810 at Kineton Warwickshire. She was born about 1784, age 56 in the 1841 census. Born at Harbury in 1784 according to 1851 census, widowed and enumerated in daughter Emma's household. Buried at St Leonard's Priors Marston on 15 Dec 1863, "age 80"

4(i). Mary Shurley christened 14 July 1811 to John and Elizabeth Shurley at Priors Marston She died 17 February 1857, age 45. Buried at Priors Marston. Married Edward Pratt on 11 June 1832 at Priors Marston

4(i). Emma Shirley born about 1820, age 20 in 1841 census. Christened 2 may 1820 to John and Elizabeth Shirley at Priors Marston. She died 14 April 1889 at Badington Warwickshire according to an online Mason family lineage. She married Richard Mason of Priors Marston

"...Interestingly the name Pratt keeps turning up as my great grandmother Louisa Mason youngest child of Richard and Emma, married a Thomas Pratt Coleman. In the Census records Elizabeth Shirley nee Bustin, when a Widow living with her daughter is on two occasions stated as "Own means" and after her death Richard Mason goes from Blacksmith to farmer, obviously, I guess, from his mother in law's legacy. Perhaps Mr. Bustin left his daughter money, as John Shirley does not sound particularly well off. My grandmother was Ethel Emma Shirley Coleman..." - Margaret

1(ii). George Shurly christened 3 November 1700 to George and Jane Shurly at Priors Marston. He may be the George Shirley buried at St Leonard's Priors Marston on 8 May 1736 (since father George was supposedly dead prior to 1730, based on mother being identified as 'widow' at the time of her burial on that date)

married Susanna Ibbot on 2 October 1726 at St James Southam parish. Both bride and groom residents of Priors Marsen. She was buried at St Leonard's Priors Marston on 14 Jul 1780 "pauper"
