Research Note: Rewlach Farm is located in the ecclesiastical parish of Alstonfield, while Fawfieldhead, a township in the same, was later created a civil parish

3(i). John Shirley of Rewlach, Staffordshire; baptised 9 July 1769, He was executor of father's 1806 Will; He died 13 August 1837 at Alstonfield Staffordshire

"By the later 1820s John Shirley of Rewlach had a mill on Blake brook north of Rewlach. Offered for sale in 1902, the mill ceased working between 1904 and 1908". Victoria County History A History of the County of Stafford: Volume 7

married Ann Charlesworth on June 20, 1797 at Rewlach, Staffordshire Co.

4(i). John Shirley farmer of Marsh House, chr 1 June 1800 at Longnor parish, son of John Shirley of Rowlach; age 70 in the 1871 Fawfieldhead census; He died 1871 (no heirs)

21 November. The Will of John Shirley late of Marsh House in the Parish of Alstonefield in the County of Stafford Yeoman who died 27 July 1871 at Marsh House was proved at Lichfield by William Shirley of Rewlach in the said Parish Farmer the Nephew[Ed note: son of brother Samuel Shirley] and Richard Bonsall of Warslow in the said County Farmer the Executors. L300

married 1) Ann Slack; She died 21 July 1829 and buried at Alstonfield, age 23

Alstonfield Parish Memorial Inscription - Ann wife of John Shirley junr of Rewlatch and daughter of Benjamin and Ann Slack late of Sheen who died 21st July 1829 in the 23rd year of her age. Also John son of the above John and Ann Shirley who died 26th may 1829 aged 13 years.

married 2) Sarah Needham; She was born about 1815 at Fawffieldhead, age 56 in 1871 census

4(ii). Sarah Shirley chr 14 February 1802 at Longnor parish daughter of John Shirley of Rolach; She died 1823, She married Thomas Riley of Marsh House

4(iii). Joseph Shirley chr 29 March 1804 at Longnor parish, son of John Shirley of Rolach

4(iv). William Shirley chr 4 May 1806 at Longnor parish, son of John Shirley of Rueleach

4(v). Thomas Shirley chr 25 October 1809 at Longnor parish, son of John Shirley of Reulatch.

4(vi). Samuel Shirley farmer of Rewlach Farm chr 31 January 1815 at Longnor parish, son of John Shirley and wife Ann of Rowletch; He was widowed and age 59 in 1871 Fawfieldhead census, with 2 servants in the household; He was living with his son William in the 1881 census for Rewlach Fawfieldhead, age 69; He died April 9, 1888 

Alstonfield Parish Memorial Inscription - Samuel Shirley of Rewlatch died April 19 1888 aged 76 years. Also Hannah wife of the above died October 17 1855 aged 43 years

married Hannah Riley on Feb 18, 1834 at Alstonfield, Staffordshire ; She died October 17 1855, age 43

4(vii). Mary Shirley chr 30 June 1815 at Longnor parish, daughter of John Shirley and wife Ann of Ruelatch. She married Samuel Wood of the Ridge Dec 24, 1833
