Richard Guildford, Knt. was the father of Philippe who married John Gage, K.G. Their daughter, Alice Gage married Anthony Browne, Knt., K.G., of Battle Abbey and Cowdray, Sussex, Standard Bearer to King Henry VIII, Master of Horse. NOTE: Athony Browne's father, Anthony Browne, m. 2nd to Lucy Neville, daughter and co-heiress of John Neville, Knt., Marquess of Montague and Isabel who was the daughter of Edmund Ingoldisthorpe, Knt., of Borough Green, Cambridge Co.

Richard Guildford, Knt was the father of Mary who married William Haute, Knt., of Bishopsborne, Kent Co. Their daughter, Jane Haute, married in 1537 to Thomas Wyatt, Knt., of Allington Castle, Kent Co.  NOTE: This is the Sir Thomas Wyatt who led an armed conspiracy against Queen Mary at the time of her marriage to King Philip of Spain. His badly organized followers fell away, and Wyatt was taken prisioner.  He was beheaded at the Tower of London. (story given under Isley name who was also involved in same plot). They were the grandparents of Francis Wyatt, Governor of Virginia 1621-1626 and 1639-1642. He married Margaret Sandys.

Richard Guildford was the father of Elizabeth born about 1490. She married Thomas Isley. They were of Sunridge, Kent Co. Their daughter, Mary, married William Shirley. When Thomas Isley died, his widow married Richard Shirley.
