Jefferson Beauregard Aug 25, 1861, d. Nov 24, 1944, m. Martha Jane Mahaffey Dec 1st, 1885. She was b. 1861 d. 1937, both buried Townville Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeff was a farmer and brick maker. He helped make the brick from which the oil mill (gin), school and two brick stores were built. He came to the Pine Grove section of Oconee County in about 1882 where he and Joe batched and built the Shirley home.

Joseph Woodword Oct 18, 1859, d. May 15, 1956 age 96, oldest citizen of Townville SC and oldest member of the Townville Baptist Church. He m 1st Mary Ella Clinkscales born Nov 28, 1861 Abbeville Co. SC, died May 17, 1883 daughter of Levi Newton and Eliz. (Robinson) Clinkscales. He m. 2nd Sarah J. (Nettie) Giles Mar 5, 1873, d. Oct 11, 1910, both rest Townville Baptist Church cemetery. He m. 3rd, Lilly Campbell Burwell. Joseph was postmaster at Townville, merchant and farmer.

James Carrol Aug 26, 1854, m. Nancy Alcanza SHIRLEY born Nov 27, 1858 Abbeville Co. SC. d. Apr 7, 1940, daughter of George and Eliz. (Elgin) Shirley of the Benjamin and Eliz Hughes Shirley branch. They farmed, owned and operated cotton gin and saw mill at Shirley's store.

Stephen Lee Feb 22, 1864, d. Feb 10, 1944, bachelor. He was a thrifty and wise man. He acquired many farms in Oconee and Anderson Counties South Carolina, bank stock, etc. He was worth half million dollars which he willed to his nieces and nephews. He got his start by working for his brothers, Jeff and Joe at $12.50 per month which he used in building Shirley's store.
