as Bucks mentioned in serval instances, and not nearby Holton
Oxon). Named in 1667 will as residual legatee of uncle Edmund
Sherley of Aston Rowant, residence "Holton Bucks".
He was named in his mother Annis Shirley's 1673 will saying that
son John of Holton was supposed to pay her 4L per year, but never
did. He was named executor of her will.
