Her parents were John and Mary Enemy, nee Turner.  Anne/Nanny had an illegitimate child, John Walker, bapt Mar 14th, 1815 at St. Edmunds, the son of the local publican, Charles Walker.

John Shirley, born about 1779 (died age 55 in 1834) grocer and miller of Attercliffe was partnered with Thomas Shirley of Sheffield. He owned the Attercliffe Steam Mill. He died March 1834. Buried 19 Mar 1834 (non-conformist record index)

Page 5 of 16 - Notice is hereby given, that the Partnership between us the undersigned, John Shirley, of Attercliffe, in the Parish of Sheffield, in the County of York, and Thomas Shirley, of Sheffield aforesaid, in the businesses of Millers, Corn-Factors, and .Grocers, carried on at Attercliffe and in Sheffield aforesaid, expired, by effluxion of time, on tlie 8th day of January now last past; and from that day all Partnership dealings and transactions whatsoever between us ceased ;. Story of Old Attercliffe - GR Vine Pt 2

The Wesleyan-Methodist magazine Volume 57 [year?] At Attercliffe, in the Sheffield East Circuit, Mr. John Shirley, aged fifty-five years. For more than thirty years he had been a member of the Methodist society ; and for thirteen, a Class-Leader. In the midst of increasing business an [google snippet]

The Sheffield Independent Saturday 15 March 1834 has the following death. On Friday the 14th instant at Attercliffe, Mr John Shirley in the 55th year of his age. He died in the full assurance of a blissful immortality. The same paper has the death of his wife in March 1830.

The obituary for Johns wife was published on Saturday 20th March and said the death was on Tuesday, after a short illness, aged 40 but only named her as Mrs Shirley, wife of John of Attercliffe corn mills. And for Johns death an entry in the Leeds mercury Saturday 22th March 1834 It states John died in the 54 year of his age of Apoplexy and he was a consistant member and class leader of the Wesleyan methodist society

London Gazette. 1838. Pursuant to a decree of the High Court of Chancery, made in a cause Shirley vs Shirley the creditors of John Shirley, late of Attercliffe, in the county of York, Miller deceased (who died in the month of March 1834)....

Of my mother's sisters, Mary, widow of Richard Tindal, left a son Walter and a daughter Augusta, and the former left two sons. Another sister Eliza left six sons and two daughters to her husband Rev. Samuel Blackburne- one Stewart Blackburne is the chess authority."

married William Edwood Smith an attorney of Doncaster Yorkshire who legally changed his name to William Edwood Shirley on 23 November 1863. He was twice mayor of Doncaster

1(v). Catherine Workman Shirley. Baptised November 14, 1823, by E.Goodwin at Sheffield Parish Church, Church Street, Sheffield; Co-heiress of her deceased father. She married the Rt Rev. Bishop Thomas Nettleship Staley D.D. on 4 September 1850 at Sheffield Yorkshire. He was Bishop of Honolulu 1861-72, rector from 1872 of Croxall Tamworth.
