and Eliza Leary of Brown St). She died 12 June 1950 at Marrickville
New South Wales according to a death certficate filed there.
The certificate indicates Ellen was a widow, age 76, born Dublin
Ireland daughter of John Shirley (a weaver) and wife Elizabeth
Leary. Further, the certificate indicates Ellen married George
Henry Timmins at Dublin Ireland, and also mentions she was age
25 at the time of marriage. Children: Mary E. age 50, Alexander
age 41, Adelaide age 36 (alive), 5 males and 2 females deceased.
The certificate also mentions Ellen Shirley Timmins had been
22 years in New South Wales at the time of death. She was buried
at the Church of England Cemetery Rookwood
