"Henry, Ill. -- Mrs. and Mrs. Pearl Shirley observed their
Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday March 25 with an open house
reception at the Farm Bureau building in Henry between 2 and
5 p.m. They were married March 25, 1912, at the United Brethren
Parsonage by Rev. W. C. Hubert. They moved to a farm in Marshall
County in 1918, and then 15 years ago, moved into Putnam County,
six miles east of Henry, to the farm of Mrs. Arba Law. They are
the parents of seven children, four of whom are living: Raymond
Shirley of Oglesby, Russell of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Othalene Ransom
of Minonk, and Albert Shirley of Magnolia. Fred Arteberry and
Keith Eckel attended the anniversary observance. Keith is a nephew.
