Email Feb 2012: My mother's great-uncle was Cyrus G. Palmer
who married Catherine Shirley. For many years I have been in
possession of many Civil War letters written to Catherine from
her brothers Joseph B. and Jacob A. Shirley as well as 2 cousins
G.W. Fulmer & Harvey/Harry J. Fulmer. Along with these letters
(plus several post-war communications of various sorts) there
are 17 photos and essays written by Catherine (I believe) and
a few sermons of Cyrus'. My mother's great-grandfather Johnston
M. Palmer was named executor of his son's estate when Cyrus died
in 1881 and the letters remained in the family ever since. Currently
I am transcribing the letters and researching the wartime places
& events which I plan on turning into a book. I still live
in the same town that the Palmers always lived in - Black Lick,

mail address to send you these copies? My email is nicolene@comcast.net
