children:
The following
children are presented in the context of Richard Shurley's 1820
census profile
Since Richard Shirley died before 1828,
then this list should be complete - otherwise additional guardianships
would have been appointed for children under age of 21 at about
1830-1838 when other guardianships were granted (Was Thomas Shurley
b. 1816 also a son, but why no guardianship for him?). Only Nathaniel
and Aaron appear in county guardianship books. Richard Charles
Shirley's bible only follows Eliza Shirley and the John Gailand
Brown pedigree. It does not identify her siblings therefore does
not conflict with the following list of brothers and sisters
